Machata wins World Cup 4-man bobsled finale

CALGARY, Alberta (AP) -- Manuel Machata drove Germany 1 to victory Saturday night in the final World Cup four-man bobsled race of the season, and Russia's Alexandr Zubkov won the season title.
Machata had a two-run time of 1 minute, 47.72 seconds, to edge Maximilian Arndt's Germany 2 by 0.8 seconds.
Zubkov was third in the race.
Arndt finished second in the standings, and Machata was third.
The world championships are next week in Lake Placid, N.Y.
