CONWAY, Ark. (AP) — Patrick Richard had 22 points and 10 rebounds and McNeese State scored 22 straight points in the second half to beat Central Arkansas 71-56 Saturday.
Desharick Guidry added 11 points and 14 rebounds for the Cowboys (12-10, 8-2 Southland), who have won five straight games. Kevin Hardy also scored 11.
Central Arkansas (7-16, 2-9) got 12 points from Jordan Harks and 10 from Robert Crawford. Jarvis Garner added eight points and 15 rebounds for the Bears, who have lost twice to McNeese State during a six-game losing streak.
Central Arkansas’ leading scorer, LaQuentin Miles, did not start for the second straight game and played only 15 minutes, scoring four points.
The Bears led 39-38 with 15:11 remaining but did not score again for nearly 7 minutes. McNeese State took advantage with its 22-0 run to go ahead 60-40 with 8:15 left.
