NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — Ryan Woods scored 19 points as New Jersey Institute of Technology defeated North Dakota 72-57 Saturday to split the season series.
The Highlanders (11-13, 4-3 Great West Conference) led by 12 en route to a 33-24 halftime lead.
The Fighting Sioux, who defeated NJIT 80-63 on Jan. 26, closed the gap to six points on three occasions, the last at 39-33 with 14:37 left, but could get no closer.
The Highlanders made 18 of 22 free throws compared to only 8 of 15 for North Dakota (11-13, 3-4).
