A memorial service is set for Wednesday afternoon for former Woodland police chief and mayor James R. Graham, city officials said.

The service is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Peterson’s Red Barn Event Center, 1605 Caples Road, just outside Woodland. A reception will follow the service.

Officials are encouraging attendees to arrive early due to limited parking. Starting at 11 a.m., a shuttle bus service, compliments of Noah’s Ark Bus Co., will be provided from Davidson Avenue and Sixth Street to the event center. The shuttle service will make return trips after the service.

The city will fly flags at half-staff Wednesday in Graham’s honor.

Donations in Graham’s honor can be made to the Lions Club Camp Leo for Children with Diabetes, 3029 Sleater-Kinney Road N.E., Olympia, WA, 98506. Those interested can also send a card to Graham’s family via the city of Woodland, P.O. Box 9, Woodland, WA, 98674.
