FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) — For the first time, there will be a Colonial Athletic Association game between two Final Four schools.

George Mason and Virginia Commonwealth play Tuesday, their first meeting since VCU made the Final Four last season. George Mason was part of the NCAA’s ultimate quartet in 2006.

Despite the success of the two schools, the CAA is having a down year — at least according to the various computer rankings. The conference sent three teams to the NCAAs last year. This year, there might only be one.

Regardless, there’s plenty on the line Tuesday. The Patriots and Rams are tied for first place in the conference, along with Drexel.
