Sydney Allen made a free throw with one second left to propel the Papermakers into the double-elimination bracket of the 3A bi-district tournament.

Camas (17-7) will face Wilson of Tacoma at 4:30 p.m. Friday at Clover Park High School for a berth to the 3A regionals.

“Enumclaw just shot the lights out to keep the game close,” Camas coach Chuck Knight said, adding that the Hornets made seven 3-pointers. “It was basically our size against their shooters. We did just enough to get over the hump.”

The Hornets made the last of their seven 3-pointers to take a 55-52 lead in overtime. Jenka Stiasna made a basket to cut the lead to 55-54.

After an Enumclaw free throw, Allen scored off a lob pass inside to tie the score at 56-56.

Camas made a stop, got the rebound and worked the clock down for the final shot.

The Papermakers’ first shot was off the mark, but Allen was in the right spot to get the rebound and was fouled as she tried to put the ball back in. She converted the second of her two free throws for the winning margin.

Allen finished with 16 points, and Stiasna added 12. Sierra Brown came off the bench to scored seven points.
