LEWISTON, N.Y. (AP) — Antoine Mason had 21 points and scored all five Niagara points in overtime on free throws in a 60-57 victory over Canisius on Wednesday night in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play.

For Niagara (12-16, 7-9), its third consecutive win wasn’t nearly as easy as a 75-56 victory at Canisius on Jan. 19. The Golden Griffins (4-22, 1-15) forced overtime when Alshwan Hymes, who led Canisius with 19 points, made two foul shots with 7 seconds left in regulation.

But in an overtime that was essentially a free throw contest, neither team scored a field goal. Canisius, which lost its 10th straight, managed just a foul shot apiece from Josiah Heath and Harold Washington. Mason, meanwhile, hit 5 of 7 from the line, including two at 11 seconds to make it 60-57.

Juan’ya Green had 11 of his 16 points in the first half for Niagara, and Ameen Tanksley added 10.
