Police arrest residential burglary suspect in Battle Ground

Battle Ground police and the Clark County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday arrested a man in connection with the burglary of a home on Northeast First Avenue, officials said.
According to a Battle Ground Police Department release, police responded to reports of a burglary in progress around 5:30 p.m. in the 500 block of First Avenue. Battle Ground police and sheriff’s office deputies surrounded the home.
Tyler D. Elliot, 28, of Battle Ground was found hiding in the attic and arrested without incident, according to the release. He was booked into the Clark County Jail on suspicion of residential burglary and second-degree malicious mischief.
