Berkshire Hathaway affiliate HomeServices of America Inc. said Thursday it has purchased an interest in Portland-based Prudential Northwest Properties, which operates 21 offices in Oregon and Southwest Washington.
Prudential Northwest managers Bert Waugh, chairman, and his son, Jason Waugh, president and chief executive officer, will continue to lead the company. Prudential operates Vancouver offices at 17700 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd. and 10002 N.E. 13th Ave.
Prudential Northwest was founded in 1948 and has grown to include 500 sales associates in the Portland area, according to a statement issued by HomeServices, which bills itself as the nation’s second-largest independent residential real estate brokerage firm.
