Ark.-Little Rock dominates OT to beat Troy 74-62

TROY, Ala. (AP) — Chuck Guy had 16 points and Arkansas-Little Rock scored 18 points on near-perfect shooting in overtime to defeat Troy 74-62 on Saturday night for its sixth win in seven games.

Arkansas-Little Rock (14-14, 11-3 Sun Belt Conference) opened the extra period with back-to-back 3-pointers by Will Neighbour and Guy, then Tramar Sutherland added a layup. Arkansas-Little Rock finished 4 of 5 from the field and 8 of 8 from the line in overtime.

D’Andre Williams added 13 points, Ben Dillard 12 and Michael Javes had 11 rebounds for Arkansas-Little Rock, which trailed 29-24 at halftime..

With Troy up 45-39, Arkansas-Little Rock used a 14-4 run to lead by four with 2:13 left in regulation.

Alan Jones’ 3-pointer with 1:07 to go cut the margin to a point. After Guy’s 3 with 34 seconds left, Justin Wright’s two free throws knotted it 56-56.

Jones led Troy (8-17, 3-11) with 17 points.
