OBERSTDORF, Germany (AP) — Martin Koch of Austria had the best scores in both heats Saturday to win a ski jumping World Cup ahead of Daiki Ito of Japan.
Koch went 218 meters in the first heat and 221.5 in the second for the longest jump of the day. He totaled 443.4 points to win his third World Cup. He also won on the same hill last year.
Ito had scores of 209 and 209.5 for 433.2 points.
Olympic champion Simon Ammann of Switzerland was third with jumps of 204.5 and 213.5 meters for 429.2 points.
