CHICAGO (AP) -- Blackhawks center Jonathan Toews has been scratched from Chicago's game against the Detroit Red Wings with an upper-body injury.
The team says it's unrelated to the wrist injury that kept him out of the All-Star game. The captain is day to day.
Toews leads the Blackhawks with 29 goals. He also has 28 assists and is second on the team with 57 points.
Chicago carried a three-game winning streak into Monday night's game against NHL-leading Detroit.
