COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated goaltender Curtis Sanford, who had been on injured reserve following a lower body injury suffered earlier this month.

The club on Wednesday also said it had assigned goaltender Allen York to the Chicago Express, its ECHL affiliate.

The 32-year-old Sanford has missed the past six games since the injury in a home loss to Dallas on Feb. 8. He’s gone 10-13-4 with a 2.52 goals-against average, .915 save percentage and one shutout in 29 games this season.

The Owen Sound, Ontario, native has a 47-50-15 record, 2.70 goals-against average, .905 save percentage and six shutouts in 137 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets, St. Louis Blues and Vancouver Canucks. He was signed as a free agent by Columbus in July 1.
