COQUILLE, Ore. (AP) -- The Coos County district attorney's 17-year-old son pleaded guilty to felony sex abuse and was sentenced by a Douglas County judge to three years on probation.

Jacob Frasier of Coquille was arrested in December following allegations of sex with a 13-year-old girl. He said the sex was consensual and she told him she was 15.

The Register-Guard reports (http://is.gd/pDvLpq) Frasier could have faced six years in prison. If he completes probation successfully he will not have to register as a sex offender.
