Crossbow wins the Big A feature

NEW YORK (AP) — Crossbow, the 2-5 favorite, cruised to a 4 1-2 length victory over Leave of Absence on Thursday in the $64,680 allowance feature at Aqueduct.

Ramon Dominguez, the Big A’s leading rider, was aboard for one of three wins on the card. The 4-year-old trained by Kiaran McLaughlin led from the start, improving to 4 for 8. The time was 1:10.51 for the six furlongs on the fast track.

Crossbow paid $2.90, $2.30 and $2.10. Leave of Absence returned $3 and $2.10, while Rock Yard paid $2.40 to show.
