Talking Points: When the leaks leak

What’s the buzz from the world of sports? Here are some items that will have people talking:

1

Maybe we didn’t really want to know.

Maybe we should have just let Ryan Braun slide this time.

But now, because he won his appeal over his drug test, stories are starting to leak (ha, ha, leak) about how he beat the system.

Actually, Braun did not do anything other than give his sample to some fool who thought it would be a good idea to keep that sample in his fridge over the weekend.

It’s a long story. And we really, really, wish we had never read it. And we also might want to show some respect to FedEx drivers. We had no idea this was in their job description.

However, baseball players now know how to beat the system. Slip the sample holder an extra $100 to keep the sample in the cooler an extra day or two.

We wonder if the guy responsible for the Braun mix-up is a Brewers fan. If so, the Brewers should give that guy season tickets.

So you think you’re fast?

Even in your work clothes?

OK construction workers on Highway 14, now’s your chance to show us.

Or, at least show the NFL.

You nurses coming off the swing shift? You have time to sprint, too.

The NFL Network is asking any of you to video yourself running the 40-yard dash in your work clothes.

NFL Network’s Rich Eisen has been doing this for years at the NFL Combine. This year, the network wants to put the spotlight on the fans.

Just hope we see some underwater welders.
