ELON, N.C. (AP) — Jack Isenbarger scored 24 points and Ryley Beaumont added 20 as Elon rolled past UNC Greensboro 93-79 on Saturday night.

The win, plus Samford’s loss to Chattanooga on Saturday, gives the Phoenix the No. 2 seed in the North division of the Southern Conference and a first-round bye in the conference tournament.

Lucas Troutman added 18 points and Austin Hamilton had 11, while Sebastian Koch grabbed 12 rebounds for Elon (14-15, 9-9). The nine conference wins matches the most in a season since 2007-08.

Elon scored the first 13 points of the game and never trailed. The Phoenix led by as many as 19 points three times, the last with 6:34 to play.

Trevis Simpson scored 22 points, Derrell Armstrong added 14 and Nick Paulos had 12 for UNC Greensboro (12-18, 10-8), which already had clinched first place in the SoCon North division and a first-round bye.
