NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Freshman Damion Lee scored 24 points, hitting six 3-pointers, and Drexel edged Old Dominion 73-72 Saturday to close out the regular season with its school-record 17th straight win.

The Dragons (25-5, 16-2 Colonial Athletic Association) led 71-65 with 37 seconds left. Kent Bazemore, who scored a career-high 37 points for the Monarchs, then made a layup and Dimitri Batten converted a three-point play to make it a one-point game with 15 seconds remaining.

Drexel’s Chris Fouch hit two free throws with 10 seconds left, then Lee fouled Bazemore outside the arc with 2 seconds to go. Bazemore made his first two foul shots and missed the third, with the Dragons rebounding the ball for their first win in Norfolk since 2005.

Bazemore also grabbed 12 boards for Old Dominion (19-12, 13-5) which saw its three-game winning streak end.

Chris Fouch added 15 points and Samme Givens 12 for the Dragons.
