EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — A man who shot himself in the leg with two young children present faces new charges of reckless endangerment on Friday.

The Eugene Register-Guard reports (http://bit.ly/zThJDu ) 26-year-old Aaron Brown was treated at a Eugene hospital for the injury on Thursday night.

Police say the .357-caliber revolver apparently fired while Brown was spinning its cylinder while holding a finger near its trigger.

He faces five charges of reckless endangering and two misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Two children, ages 3 and 5, were in the apartment.

Investigators suspect that Brown had been smoking marijuana before the shooting.
