Reves leads Arlington over Northwestern St. 79-70

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Jordan Reves had 20 points and 10 rebounds as Texas-Arlington set a school record with 22 wins by defeating Northwestern State 79-70 Saturday night.

LaMarcus Reed added 17 points for the Mavericks (22-6, 14-0 Southland), who have already clinched the conference championship heading into the final week of the regular season. Bo Ingram and Kevin Butler each had 13 points for Arlington.

Shamir Davis and Louis Ellis each scored 20 points for Northwestern State (15-14, 7-7). Patrick Robinson added 13 points and William Mosley had two blocked shots, moving him past former Georgetown and NBA great Alonzo Mourning into fifth place all-time in NCAA career blocks. He is 25 blocks behind Wake Forest’s Tim Duncan.

Arlington trailed 51-45 early in the second half but put together a 19-1 run to put the game away. Reed had seven points during the spurt and Reves had six.
