A community group of young people will host a forum Monday evening in Battle Ground to discuss the Republican presidential candidates.

The group, Youth for Democracy, is mostly people too young to vote, but who still want to participate in the political discussions leading up to the Republican precinct caucuses on March 3.

The event is 7 to 9 p.m. at the Firm Foundation Christian School, 1919 S.W. 25th Ave., Battle Ground. The group will discuss each candidate’s political positions, conduct its own straw poll and encourage people to attend one of several Republican precinct caucuses taking place around Clark County.

Voter registration forms will be available for those eligible to vote.

Neither Youth for Democracy nor the school is affiliated with any political candidate.
