27-foot sailboat burns, sinks at Bellingham marina

BELLINGHAM, Wash. (AP) -- A 27-foot sailboat burned and sank early Monday in its slip at the Port of Bellingham marina.
The fire department says a nearby boat had started to burn about 2:30 a.m. when firefighters knocked down the flames.
No one was injured.
The Bellingham Herald reports (http://is.gd/hdHezD ) the Port of Bellingham and Coast Guard are assessing the damage and environmental impacts.
