Letter: Criticism of Wulle is unwarranted

Regarding the Feb. 23 story “Judge Wulle in trouble again with state panel on judicial conduct,” anyone who knows Judge John Wulle would agree we are lucky to have him as one of our judges. The people of Clark County voted him into office because he knows and defends the Constitution, is God-fearing, fair and honest. He has made significant contributions to our community.

As a judge you see the very worst of people that society has to offer, and the system must protect us from them through incarceration. These types of people have no respect for us, the law, the process or the judge. Disrespect is common.

Have you ever made a mistake and said something you probably should have kept to yourself? To err is human. In no way has Wulle committed any crime against society here, so what’s the big deal? I suggest we raise our collective voices of discontent to cease this waste of tax dollar and effort by the Washington State Commission on Judicial Conduct. It is our duty as citizens to speak up and demand this effort be stopped. This case brought against Wulle exemplifies our out-of-control government’s needless intervention into areas where no action is required.
