CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) — Miami says center Reggie Johnson’s eligibility has been restored by the NCAA.

Johnson was ruled ineligible by Miami after it was found that members of his family accepted “impermissible travel benefits” from a member of the school’s former coaching staff. Johnson was not aware of the benefits and personally accepted nothing.

Johnson missed one game, the Hurricanes’ win over Florida State on Sunday night. The school asked the NCAA to decide quickly on whether Johnson could be reinstated, and made the announcement Tuesday night.

Johnson did not accompany the Hurricanes on their trip for Wednesday’s game at North Carolina State, but is expected to join the team in time to play.
