GENOA, Italy (AP) — Midfielder Brek Shea is the only holdover in the U.S. starting lineup for the Americans’ exhibition game against Italy.

Coach Jurgen Klinsmann changed 10 starters from the team that won 1-0 at Panama last month, which was not on a FIFA fixture date.

Tim Howard was in goal Wednesday night, with Steve Cherundolo at right back, Clarence Goodson and captain Carlos Bocanegra in central defense and Fabian Johnson at left back.

The 4-2-3-1 formation included Michael Bradley and Maurice Edu in defensive midfield; and Danny Williams, Clint Dempsey and Brek Shea in the advanced midfield. Jozy Altidore was at forward.
