PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A Portland man has done more than just plead guilty to conspiring in thefts that netted more than $3 million. Vincent Cabello also directed federal investigators to a Bellevue, Wash., safe deposit box, where they found nearly $2 million.
Federal authorities say the faked hijacking of an armored car in 2005 in Portland netted $3 million.
The Oregonian reports (http://is.gd/2mBKO0 ) that Cabello pleaded guilty Wednesday in federal court to two conspiracy counts involving bank larceny and money laundering.
His parents, Archie and Marian Cabello, maintain they are innocent and are set to stand trial in April.
