PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (AP) — Ian Poulter has withdrawn from the Honda Classic with an illness. That puts a rookie from Argentina in the spotlight on Thursday afternoon.

Poulter was replaced in the field Miguel Angel Carballo, who will play alongside Tiger Woods and Lee Westwood.

The Englishman tweeted Wednesday night that he was feeling ill and posted a picture of the thermometer reading stretching past 101 degrees.

Poulter was supposed to be part of the marquee pairing at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. Now that spot goes to Carballo, who will play in the Honda Classic for the first time.
