Ridgefield — “Thank you!”
“Ridgefield rocks!”
Those were the signs held aloft by students, parents and school boosters after voters broke a years-long losing streak and handed the Ridgefield School District a stunning electoral victory Feb. 14. Voters comfortably cleared the 60-pecent supermajority requirement, with nearly 65 percent agreeing to tax themselves to add classrooms, athletic facilities and traffic improvements to the district’s four schools. Ridgefield voters rejected the previous five bond measures submitted for voter approval.
