Pleasant Highlands A long-standing nuisance property near the Washington State University Vancouver campus has seen some changes this year.

According to Clark County code enforcement officer Donna Goddard, the 1 acres at 13313 N.E. 39th Ave., has been the subject of various cases, open and closed, over the years. Goddard said she started working on the case in July 2011. “I got (the former property owners) to clean it up substantially,” she said. “But they still had some junk left and an inoperable car as recently as last month. The owner had passed away, and then the property went up for sale.”

The property sold in late January to Timothy and Christopher Karlsen, “and the new owner appears to be tearing down the old mobile home. With a new owner, we are hoping for a complete clean up very soon and will continue to monitor it for compliance,” Goddard said. More inspections are coming soon.
