2 killed in New Year's day crash in E. Washington

DAVENPORT, Wash. (AP) -- Two people were killed and another two injured in an early morning crash on Highway 2 in Eastern Washington.
Spokane TV stations KHQ and KXLY report the accident happened around 2:35 a.m. New Year's Day, about eight miles east of Davenport in Lincoln County.
The State Patrol says two cars crashed into each other head-on. The cause of the accident is still being investigated.
