OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — The Golden State Warriors have signed free agent Nate Robinson, adding another flashy but undersized point guard to a backcourt that already features Monta Ellis and Stephen Curry.

The Warriors announced the move before Wednesday night’s game at San Antonio. Robinson will be in uniform and wear No. 2 when Golden State plays at the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night.

The 5-foot-9, three-time NBA Slam Dunk champion is expected to provide depth at the guard spot as Curry already has sprained his troublesome, surgically repaired right ankle twice this season. Robinson appeared in only four games and three playoff appearances last season with Oklahoma City after Boston traded him away.

His release from Oklahoma City was announced Dec. 24.
