OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) — There were times this season when 36-year-old Ray Lewis showed his age on the football field.

The Baltimore Ravens standout middle linebacker acknowledges this. Upon assessing his overall body of work, however, Lewis feels no need to defend himself.

Lewis says that even though he may make a bad play here and there, he remains consistent in his approach. Coach John Harbaugh agrees, saying Lewis “has a lot of football left in him.”

Although he missed four games this season, Lewis led the Ravens in tackles and earned a 13th invite to the Pro Bowl. And he will be in the middle of the Baltimore defense when the Ravens launch their fourth straight playoff run next Sunday.

The Ravens (12-4) have a bye this week.
