Davidson rolls over UNC Greensboro 92-63

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Nik Cochran scored 22 points and Davidson shot a season-best 56.3 percent in the first half of a 92-63 Southern Conference victory over UNC Greensboro on Thursday night.

The Wildcats (9-4, 3-0) made 18 of 32 shots in the half and used an 18-4 run to turn a one-point deficit into a 28-14 lead with 9:07 left. Davidson ended the half with a 19-6 run for a 48-26 cushion.

The Spartans (2-14, 0-4), who defeated Davidson 71-64 last season in the first round of the league tournament, lost their 11th straight game.

Chris Czerapowicz scored 15 points for the Wildcats and had eight rebounds. Cochran, who scored 15 of his points in the first half, also had six assists.

Trevis Simpson led UNC Greensboro with 15 points but shot just 2 of 13 from the field. The Spartans shot 35.3 percent (18 of 51).
