Flags at all Washington state agency buildings are at half-staff today in memory of U.S. Army Specialist Mikayla A. Bragg, 21, of Longview.

Gov. Chris Gregoire directed that flags be lowered after Bragg died on Dec. 21 while serving in Afghanistan.

Citizens and businesses are encouraged to participate in the recognition.

Flags will be at half-staff until the close of business Thursday, or first thing Friday morning.
