Registration open for sustainability training

Columbia Springs’ Master Composter & Recycler Program is accepting applications for a free volunteer training that starts next month. Participants can learn techniques in composting and recycling, along with other sustainability and waste-reduction strategies.

The training begins on Feb. 2 and continues every Thursday through April 5, according to Columbia Springs. The classes will last from 6 to 8:30 p.m., but the location has not yet been determined.
