UC Irvine beats Pacific 73-69

STOCKTON, Calif. (AP) — Michael Wilder scored a game-high 18 points, all on 3-pointers, and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead UC Irvine to a 73-69 victory over Pacific on Thursday.

Adam Folker had 13 points and 12 rebounds for Irvine (5-10, 2-1 Big West), and scored seven straight points late before Derick Flowers’ two free throws with 11 seconds remaining sealed the win.

The Anteaters took their first lead with 9 minutes remaining and limited the Tigers to one point over the final 3:09.

Mike Best added 14 points for Irvine.

Markus Duran led Pacific (4-9, 0-2) with 15 points. Travis Fulton had 14 points and 14 rebounds for the Tigers, who lost their fifth consecutive game.

Ross Rivera had 12 points for Pacific and Trevin Harris scored 10. The Tigers made just one basket over the final 6:26 after Rivera’s 3-pointer and free throw gave them a 66-61 lead.
