Wagner beats Fairleigh Dickinson 88-64

HACKENSACK, N.J. (AP) — Jonathon Williams scored 23 points and Latif Rivers had 19 in Wagner’s 88-64 win over Fairleigh Dickinson on Thursday night.

Williams knocked down a career-high 11 free throws and grabbed six boards to help Wagner get off to its best start since the 1968-69 season.

Fairleigh Dickinson (1-11, 0-3 Northeast Conference) led 10-7 before Williams and Rivers sparked a 12-0 Wagner run. Wagner wouldn’t look back, taking a 45-28 lead into halftime and outscoring the Knights 43-36 in the second half.

The Seahawks (11-3, 2-1) are 9-0 when holding the opposition to under 70 points and are 8-1 when scoring at least 70 points.

Wagner is currently on a four-game winning streak, all on the road.

The Seahawks’ now have six road wins this season, which tops last year’s total.

Tyler Murray and Kenneth Ortiz had 11 points apiece for Wagner.

George Goode led the Knights with 23.
