SPARTANSBURG, S.C. (AP) — Karl Cochran scored 21 points to lead a balanced Wofford scoring attack in a 75-58 victory over College of Charleston Thursday night in a Southern Conference game.

Cochran connected on 6 of 12 3-point attempts for the Terriers (9-6, 2-1) and got lots of help. Fellow guards Kevin Giltner and Brad Loesing scored 15 and 13 points respectively. Forward Drew Crowell chipped in 11 points on 5-of-6 shooting. He made his only 3-point attempt of the night.

Andrew Lawrence scored 14 points to lead Charleston in scoring, and Trent Wiedeman added 10 more. But the Cougars (10-4, 2-1) shot just 38.9 per cent from the floor (21 of 54).

Wofford outrebounded Charleston 34-22, 10-5 on the offensive glass. The Terriers committed only nine turnovers.

At the half, the Cougars trailed by just seven points, 39-32. But in the second half, Wofford slowly, then steadily pulled away.
