LAKE STEVENS, Wash. (AP) -- Police in Lake Stevens, Wash., say a man was seriously hurt when his girlfriend's former boyfriend ran into him with a truck.
Police Chief Randy Celori tells KOMO-TV that (http://is.gd/iwcAba) the ex-boyfriend showed up Friday morning at the woman's house, holding her inside the home and physically abusing her. A fight ensued when the new boyfriend showed up. Celori says eventually the former boyfriend drove straight at the other man, hitting him, then drove off.
The police chief said the injured man was being treated at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The woman was taken to a different hospital for treatment of less-serious injuries.
Police say the ex-boyfriend turned himself in Friday night.
None of those involved was immediately identified.
Lake Stevens is east of Everett.
