Wichita State beats Southern Illinois 83-73

CARBONDALE, Ill. (AP) -- Joe Ragland scored 20 points and Wichita State beat Southern Illinois 83-73 on Saturday.
Four Shockers were in double figures. Garrett Stutz had 16 points, Toure Murry scored 15 and Demetric Williams scored 11 points for Wichita State (12-3, 3-1 Missouri Valley), which never trailed and led by as many as 19.
Mamadou Seck had 15 points, 12 rebounds and four assists to lead the Salukis (5-10, 2-2). Southern Illinois cut the Shockers' lead to 65-60 on Seck's basket with 6:26 left but Wichita State scored the next nine points to put the game out of reach.
