Boston beats Binghamton 68-49

BOSTON (AP) -- Darryl Partin scored 17 points and Malik Thomas 14 to lead Boston University in a 68-49 win over Binghamton on Sunday for the Terriers' first America East Conference win of the season.

The victory snapped a seven-game losing skid for BU (5-11, 1-1), which had its last win in a big game against crosstown rival Boston College on Dec. 3.

Partin is now just seven points shy of reaching the 1,000-point milestone for his BU career.

The Terriers never trailed in the contest, opening up with a 15-7 run and leading 35-20 at intermission. They outscored the winless Bearcats 33-29 to seal it in the second half.

Boston won the battle of the boards 36-28.

Robert Mansell scored a game-high 21 points to pace the Bearcats (0-15, 0-3), whose 15-game losing streak to open the season is the worst start in program history.
