Glover scores 31 to lead Iona over Marist 100-76

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (AP) — Mike Glover scored 31 points and Iona dominated the first half in a 100-76 win over Marist Sunday.

Glover, who averaged 18.2 points coming in, scored 18 in the first half as the Gaels (13-4, 4-0 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) led 56-32 at halftime.

Iona, which shot 65.5 percent in the first half (19 of 29) outscored the Red Foxes 24-10 in the paint and forced 12 turnovers before halftime.

Scott Machado added 16 points and nine assists and Lamont Jones chipped in 17 points for Iona, which won for the sixth time in its last seven games.

Jones, who was 7 of 9 from the field, had 13 of his points in the second half.

Adam Kemp had 25 points and 15 rebounds, including 10 on the offensive glass, to lead the Red Foxes (7-9, 2-3).

Devin Price added 23 points for Marist, which snapped a six-game win streak.
