Scott Bailey, regional labor economist for the state Employment Security Department, will join The Columbian for a live Web chat at noon Tuesday, Jan. 10, to discuss and recap the 2012 Economic Forecast Breakfast.

Bailey’s live Web chat will follow the breakfast, which will look at how to get Southwest Washington’s economy back on track. John Williams, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, will be the event’s keynote speaker. (Williams was recently profiled in the Wall Street Journal.) Regional experts will also discuss the Southwest Washington economy in panels that will focus on real estate, employment and infrastructure.
