1.) Stevenson woman, son missing

Kelly Ann Hill, 34, and her five-week-old son, David Zachary Barresse, went missing from the Stevenson area after an alleged domestic violence incident, according to a sheriff's news release issued Jan. 1. They were found safe on Jan. 2.

Emergency responders were called to the I-205 bridge late Sunday afternoon after another apparent suicide attempt, the second in two days.

Vancouver police asked the public to help find Ariana McGuckin, a 20-year-old woman who has autism and had been missing since Jan. 2. She was found safe on Thursday.

Thirteen-year-old Cody Sherrell collapsed and stopped breathing during basketball practice late Tuesday afternoon at La Center Middle School.

5.) Tax dispute shutters Mattress World stores

Portland-based Mattress World has announced it will shutter all seven company-owned stores within the next month, after being served a warrant by the Washington state Department of Revenue for roughly $1.7 million in delinquent sales taxes.
