Police seek Neighbors on Watch volunteers

The Vancouver Police Department is accepting applications for citizen volunteers through Jan. 26.

Applicants interested in becoming a part of the Neighbors On Watch program must live in the city limits, be a U.S. Citizen and be at least 21 years old. Volunteers are asked to patrol at least four hours per month.

NOW volunteers receive at least 26 hours of training in observation skills, radio communications, crime detection, personal protection and crime reporting. All training is provided at no cost to the volunteer.
