CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Bobcats coach Paul Silas says starting forward Tyrus Thomas will miss Tuesday night’s game against the Rockets with fatigued legs.

Thomas missed the first five games with a sprained left ankle, but returned to play in the last three. Silas says he might have played Thomas too much too soon after coming off his injury.

Silas expects to have Thomas back for Thursday night’s game at Atlanta.

Silas says Derrick Brown will start for Thomas, while D.J. White also will see increased action. Thomas is averaging 7.7 points and 5.3 rebounds in his last three games, all Charlotte losses. Brown is averaging 4.2 points and 3.9 rebounds this season.

Courtney Lee is out for the Rockets with a strained right calf.
