Coast Guard flies sailor from carrier to hospital

SEATTLE (AP) -- A Coast Guard helicopter has medevaced a 22-year-old sailor off the arriving aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan to a Seattle hospital.
The Coast Guard says the unidentified sailor was picked up Tuesday morning as the carrier sailed near Port Townsend, Wash. Taken to Harborview Medical Center, the sailor was reported in stable condition. No additional details were provided.
The carrier arrived for a yearlong overhaul at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard at Bremerton.
