OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) — Joe Flacco is the only quarterback in NFL history to reach the playoffs in each of his first four seasons. He’s 44-20 during the regular season with the Baltimore Ravens and has registered at least one playoff win in three straight seasons.
Despite his success, Flacco has found it easier to dodge blitzing linebackers than fend off his critics.
Flacco and the Ravens (12-4) are seeking a berth in the AFC title game with a win against the Houston Texans (11-6) at home Sunday.
Flacco went on the defensive Wednesday when asked whether he’s accomplished enough to silence his detractors.
After pointing out that Baltimore has won 12 games in each of the last two seasons, Flacco said he’s more focused on winning the Super Bowl than enhancing his reputation.
