PORT ANGELES, Wash. (AP) — The Black Ball Ferry Line, which operates the ferry Coho between Port Angeles and Victoria, British Columbia, is being sold to its managers.

Black Ball says the executive management team has agreed to purchase the company from the Oregon State University Foundation.

The Peninsula Daily News reports (http://is.gd/DLCUU2) terms were not released and no changes are planned in the ferry schedule.

Former owner and OSU alumna Lois Acheson, who died in 2004, bequeathed Black Ball to the foundation for 10 years as part of a $21 million endowment for the university’s College of Veterinary Medicine. The new owners will take over in 2015.

The Coho carries about 400,000 passengers a year on the 23-mile route across the Strait of Juan de Fuca.
