Northeast Hazel Dell — The Quatier brothers will be long remembered thanks to a new display at the Veterans Museum at the Vancouver VA Campus.

At a meeting of the Community Military Appreciation Committee at the 40 et 8 in early December, Pat Quatier, widow of the Richard Quatier, made a donation of a military memorabilia display to the Vancouver Barracks Military Association. The display holds Charles Quatier’s saber and photos of the five Quatier brothers, all Clark County veterans.

The brothers include Army veteran Robert, who went missing in action in the Korean War; twins Marvin and Melvin, both Army veteran; Charles, the lone Marine of the family; and Richard, also an Army veteran, who died on Labor Day.

The display was presented by Richard’s daughter Debbie to the Rev. Jerry Keesee, chaplain of American Legion Post 14, and Jack Giesen, treasurer of the Vancouver Barracks Military Association.
